Call For Donations

With a humble heart we must make a call for donations.  The winter months are without a doubt the most expensive for our Cathedral to endure.  The cost of heating the facility has put an enormous burden on our resources.  It has become a weekly challenge for our treasurer to fulfill our obligations.  Any donation you can give at this trying time would be very helpful.

We would be more than happy to print commemorations in the weekly bulletin for your loved ones and those in need.  There is an “instructions to merchant” area in the checkout that you can request the commemorations.

Pierogi Time!

.

The dates for the next pierogi making session have been confirmed/set for April 27th and 28th.  Potatoes will be cooked on Friday evening starting around 5PM.  Pierogis will be pinched on Saturday starting around 10 AM. If you would like to help make them, we need 15 to 20 volunteers to help.  Please contact Bill Earp at 517-819-4099, or by email at wmearp@att.net

.

We will be taking orders until Thursday, April 26th.  We limit production to 150 doezen.  Get your order in soon to make sure we are not sold out when you call!  Call Bill Earp at 517-819-4099.

.

The Pierogi recipe used has the following ingredients:

Potatoes, Flour, Cheddar Cheese, Butter, Onion, Milk, Water, Sour Cream, Eggs, Canola Oil, Salt, Pepper.

THINK GREEN AND HELP THE CHURCH
We still have some recycling programs in place that will benefit the church.
INKJET CARTRIDGES - We are collecting all empty cartridges, however Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Canon, Dell and Sharp are preferred.  Bring in anything you have.
CELL PHONES - Old cell phones and chargers can bring in some real good money for the church.  The newer ones are worth more, however even the older ones can net us a couple of bucks.  If you don't need it anymore, pull out your Sim Card and bring it into the Church office.

CHOIR
Lisa Prokurat Franks has done a wonderful job with our Choir.  She works very hard and holds the  standards for her ministry to a very high level - and it shows.!
 .
Lisa deliberately chooses the nicest musical selections, but is asking everyone to let her know if there is anything special that you would like to hear.  Contact her after church about the details.
 .
We are also still in need of people with or without musical experience to join us.  She is trying to make it easy for everyone to attend.  Please call her at 313/884-1652 to get involved, or to even host a choir rehearsal.

ARE YOU IN OUR PARISH DIRECTORY?
We so our best to maintain a Parish membership list so as to keep in touch and improve communication.  Please take a few moments and let us get some basic information.  We are not trying to invade in anyone's privacy, but want to recognize great things (like birthdays and anniversaries).
 .
We can also mail or e-mail a form if you prefer.  Please fill out only as much as you are comfortable with, and return it when you can.

WHAT IS A STEWARD?
The Christian Steward believes in the joyful possibility of using all God's gifts to the fullest capacity.  He see his whole life precisely as a gift - a gift freely and lovingly given by God:
.
The Gift of Time
The Gift of Talent
The Gift of Treasure
.
The Christian Steward seeks to develop these human resources for the glory of the Divine Giver and for the building up of his family in Christ, the Church.
.
Please sign up on our Stewardship Lists (at the Hall), and be involved at our Church.  We need much help in many areas
.
WE NEED
Helping in the church during services
Joining the choir
and working with our kids
.
AS WELL AS
being involved in our organizations
perhaps chairing one of our events
sponsoring a Family Dinner (dates still available for next year)
getting involved in some our community events
and even coming down to help fix and clean our home
